Bushton is a small city located in Rice County, Kansas, United States. It was founded in 1886, and has a population of approximately 270 people, as of the most recent census. Bushton is located on Highway 4, about 14 miles northeast of Lyons, the county seat. Agriculture is the primary industry in the area, with many of the residents working on farms or in related industries. Bushton has a post office, a public school, a public park, and a few local businesses such as a gas station, a bank, and a grocery store. The city has an annual fall festival called the Bushton Community Fall Festival, which features a parade, live music, food vendors, and other activities.
